Girl Meets Bear

In a remote mountain area of the Tohoku region, a junior high school girl named Machi serves as a shrine maiden at a shrine dedicated to a bear deity. One day, she tells her guardian—who happens to be a bear named Natsu—“I want to go to school in the city.” Concerned for her well-being, Natsu sets up a series of trials necessary for life in the city. Full of enthusiasm but lacking perseverance and real-world experience, Machi dives into the challenge... but things don’t go quite as planned.
