Ein's job as "Appraiser" has placed him as far from the "hero" pedestal as possible in a mythical world where "jobs" are divinely assigned from birth. Heroes are born, not created. After being mistreated and subsequently left behind by his fellow explorers, Ein concludes it is simply not worth continuing.
